Description: The sound of Stars is partially informed by Morrissey and New Order, but the Canadian group is more often mentioned in the same breath as Arts & Crafts label mates Broken Social Scene. The band's sultry blend is powered by the softly nuanced vocals of Amy Millan and Torquil Campbell and a 5-7 piece band that serves up lush instrumentation and intense performances. Stars' latest LP "In Our Bedroom After the War" was thick with melodrama and character-driven lyrics, retaining the group's signature pop sense while tinkering with soul and soft-rock sounds. The group is releasing an EP called "Sad Robots" to accompany its current tour with Ireland's Bell X1.
